CLUB HANDICAPS The club handicaps take place during the summer months. We try to arrange four races which are organised by our very friendly long term club members, Pete Cockwill and Ian Shackley. They are approximately 2.5 miles long and take place over Torington Commons. Due to the commitment from Pete and Ian to organise these races we try to get as many runners as possible to enter. Each time we hold a race there is usually a number draw for everyone who has raced, with a small prize very kindly provided by Pete and Ian. There is also an award for the overall winner (for those that have entered at least three of the four races): a lovely rose bowl which you get to look after for the year. |
